Let’s explore The central Mongolia and Gobi desert

Day 1 Arrive in Ulaanbaatar

Transfer to your hotel. Half-day city tour, exploring sites of interest such as the National history Museum, Chinggis Square and evening performance of folk ensemble. (L) 

Day 2 Ulaanbaatar-Khustain nuruu

Drive to Khustain Nuruu National Park which is home to the World's only naturally surviving wild horse. The Przewalskii horse (or takhi in Mongolian) has been successfully reintroduced into the wild. The best time of the day for game viewing in the early morning and early evening. Stay overnight in a tourist ger camp. (B/L/D)

Day 3 Khustain nuruu-Kharkhorin

Drive to Kharkhorin which was founded in 1220 in the legendary Orkhon river valley. On the ruins of Kharkhorin, in 1586 was built Erdenezuu Monastery which is surrounded by monumental walls with 108 stupas. The monastery is kept until nowadays and it is considered as one of the leading religious centers of Mongolia. Stay overnight in a tourist ger camp. (B/L/D)

Day 4 Kharkhorin-Orkhon valley

Drive to Orkhon Valley. The grassland is grazed by Mongolian nomadic pastoralists. Stay overnight in a tourist ger camp. (B/L/D)

Day 5 Orkhon valley

Stay at Orkhon valley and explore the waterfall Ulaan Tsutgalan is located at the historically important Orkhon valley with volcanic rocks in central Mongolia. Waterfall Ulaan Tsutgalan is also known as Orkhon waterfall or Orkhonii Khurkhree. About 20,000 years ago, the waterfall was formed by an exceptional merge of volcanic eruptions and earthquakes. Ulaan Tsutgalan waterfall is one of the largest waterfall in Mongolia. Stay overnight in a tourist ger camp. (B/L/D)

Day 6 Orkhon valley-Ongi monastery

Drive to Ongi monastery. Stay overnight in a tourist ger camp. (B/L/D)

Day 7 Ongi monastery-Bayanzag/ The red sandstone cliffs

Drive to Bayanzag (150 km) - the classic desert of rocks, red sands, scrub, sun, and unbelievable emptiness has become known to the world as "Cemetery of Dinosaurs”. Stay overnight in a tourist ger camp. (B/L/D)

Day 8 Bayanzag-Khongor sand dunes

Drive to Khongor sand dunes (160km) - the largest sand dunes in Mongolia. Dunes of Khongor are known as the «Singing dunes» for their peculiar sounds during the wind and their height can reach 80m and spreads for about 180km long. The spectacular dunes are surrounded by lush green vegetation, which borders a small river Khongoriin gol. Stay overnight in a tourist ger camp. (B/L/D)

Day 9 Khongor sand dunes

Stay at Khongor sand dunes and experience short camel riding. Hiking and sliding through the sand dunes. Stay overnight in a tourist ger camp. (B/L/D)

Day 10 Khongor sand dunes-Yoliin am

Drive to Yoliin Am in the Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National park. This place is of gorgeous for its narrow paths crawling between rocks. The cliffs of the canyon block the sunlight from the rivers below so they remain frozen until the end of June. Stay overnight in a tourist ger camp. (B/L/D)

Day 11 Yoliin am-Tsagaan suvarga

Drive Tsagaan Suvarga, the colorful cliffs formed by ancient sea-bottom erosion, resembling stupas or a weathered city ruins from a distance. Enjoy a scenic hike around these enchanting cliffs, soaking in the boundless beauty of the vast semi-desert. Stay overnight in a tourist ger camp. (B/L/D)

Day 12 Tsagaan suvarga-Ulaanbaatar

Drive back to Ulaanbaatar. Free time (B/L)
