Itinerary details day per day
Day 2, 30 April: Terelj National Park via Chingiss Monument (100 km-2 hours). The National Park is located northeast of Ulaanbaatar and is known for its picturesque alpine scenery. Visit Chingiss Khaan Statue on the way to the park. In the afternoon, will visit Turtle Rock and Aryabal Meditation Centre. Overnight in Terelj Star ger camp. Activities - Visit a local nomadic family
Day 3, 01 May: Drive to Bayangobi dunes (345 km-4 hours), also known as Elsen Tasarkhai, located in Uvurkhangai province. It is a unique place with a picturesque combination of mountains, dunes and grasslands. Arrival at the ger camp. Afternoon hiking around dunes and camel riding (optional). Overnight in Burd Star ger camp with private facilitie. Activities - Peaceful meditation near Uvgun Monastery
Day 4, 02 May: Drive to Kharkhorin (100 km-1 hour). In 1206, Chinggis Khaan established the Mongolian Great Empire and built the capital city of Kharkhorin. Later, in 1586, the first Buddhist monastery in Mongolia, Erdene Zuu, was built on the ruins of ancient Kharkhorin city by Avtai Sain Khan, probably the most ancient surviving Buddhist monastery in Mongolia. Drive back to Elsen Tasarkhai for an overnight. Activities - Visit Erdenezuu Monastery, Kharkhorin Museum and Orkhon Valley.
Day 5, 03 May: Drive to Ulaanbaatar (360 km-4 hours). Shopping at a cashmere factory and an evening cultural performance. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 6, 04 May: International departure.
